Folkington walk

In May 2010 we went for a walk on the South Downs at Folkington. Folkington is a small village off the A27 near Polegate. We packed a salad of spring onions, rocket, fennel leaves, sorrel and leaves from the garden, and took our picnic blanket. We parked near the church and headed up the hill to a footpath which headed off to the right on the other side of the road. Following the footpath took us further up the downs, through some woods, before opening up onto some beautiful views of Firle Beacon.

We were trying to find the point of view an oil pastel picture inherited from an Aunt.
The work is by C. Marshall of Eastbourne.
