Wildflower photos Ashburnham

On May 1st 2010, we went on a charity walk in Ashburnham near Battle, East Sussex. We spent about 2.5 hours wandering around some beautiful countryside, and if it wasn’t brilliant sunshine, at least the rain held off!
As we were walking, we saw two red kites (I wasn’t fast enough to get them on camera!), and three swifts (I thought it was a bit early?), and could hear a woodpecker, pheasants and cuckoo. We tried a bit of garlic mustard, which is definitely mustardy and not terribly pleasant - maybe its better cooked, will try that next time! Picked some wild garlic leaves to eat as greens. Lots of lambs and rabbits hopping about, and frog spawn in the fishing lake.
